Join Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) as a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator I. We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious professional to support our infrastructure and construction projects within the Ilocos Region. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the physical development and maintenance of our university campus under the supervision of the Civil Service Commission.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator I, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery used in construction, road maintenance, and facility upkeep. Tanggung Jawab
- Operate heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, graders, backhoes, and loaders to perform site preparation and grading tasks.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols, traffic regulations, and university policies while operating machinery.
- Perform routine pre-operational checks, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, fuel consumption, and work logs.
- Assist construction teams with loading and unloading materials, clearing debris, and leveling terrain.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that the equipment and surrounding area are free from hazards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and site managers to report progress and address any operational issues.
Kualifikasi
- Civil Service Eligible (Career Service or Subprofessional) relevant to the position.
- At least one (1) year of relevant work experience in operating heavy equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A or equivalent) with a good driving record.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting is an advantage.
- Willingness to undergo a medical examination and physical fitness assessment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
