In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accurate review of patient medical documentation, ensuring the correct application of ICD-10 codes based on strict home health rules and regulations. Your deep understanding of medical coding will be leveraged to train, refine, and improve our proprietary AI algorithms designed to optimize home health documentation processes.
You will serve as a subject matter expert, working closely with our engineering and clinical operations teams to identify gaps in data and enhance the quality of our AI-driven solutions. Tanggung Jawab
- Review patient clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for home health services.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, payer-specific guidelines, and home health care standards.
- Collaborate with the AI development team to provide expert feedback on coding logic and assist in training the AI models.
- Resolve complex coding-related inquiries and provide mentorship on medical terminology and classification systems.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay updated with the latest coding updates, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting home health.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline documentation workflows.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience as a Medical Coder with a primary focus on Home Health or Hospice care settings.
- Active certification such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), RHIT, or RHIA is highly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pathophysiology.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a high accuracy rate in code assignment.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote or hybrid collaborative setting.
