- Accurately assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical records based on physician documentation
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure complete and accurate coding
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and organizational policies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
- Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry changes
- Participate in regular coding audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and organized coding documentation
- Utilize coding software and electronic health record systems efficiently
Kualifikasi
- Associate's degree or higher in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or related field
- Certification as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in home health or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
