Our dedicated team operates with empathy and expertise, and we are now seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to drive our legal and compliance functions forward.
As our In-House Legal Counsel, you will be at the forefront of our legal operations, providing strategic advice on a broad range of matters including estate planning, trust administration, tax implications, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior management to develop policies that protect our clients and our organization. You will also mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting legal research, managing litigation, representing the company in legal proceedings, and ensuring that our services comply with Malaysian laws and regulations. You will also contribute to product development and enhance our client experience by ensuring legal soundness in our solutions.

Tanggung Jawab
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on estate planning, trust creation, and asset distribution to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian laws including Wills Act 1959, Probate and Administration Act 1959, and related regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Lead and mentor junior legal associates, providing guidance on complex cases.
- Develop and implement legal compliance frameworks and policies.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks while supporting business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline estate settlement processes.
- Conduct training sessions on legal and compliance matters for staff.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in estate planning, trust law, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian succession, trust, and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior lawyers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity and professional ethics.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
