Nextsphere Strategic Management Services is seeking a skilled Inpatient (IP) Medical Coder to join our team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive salary range of ₱110,000 – ₱120,000 per month. As an Inpatient Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely coding of inpatient records, facilitating appropriate reimbursement and data integrity.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, assigning accurate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM/PCS, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and payer guidelines. You will work closely with physicians and healthcare teams to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy. The ideal candidate has a strong background in inpatient coding, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic healthcare environment.

- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient admissions, procedures, and diagnoses based on medical record documentation.
- Abstract clinical information from patient records to ensure complete and precise data capture.
- Ensure coding compliance with official coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, HIPAA).
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and query for specificity.
- Maintain exceptional productivity and quality standards, meeting turnaround time requirements.
- Stay current with updates to coding systems, guidelines, and industry regulations through ongoing education.
- Assist in coding audits and provide feedback to improve overall coding accuracy and revenue cycle performance.
Kualifikasi
- Certified Medical Coder credential required (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inpatient medical coding.
- In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding system and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with computer-assisted coding systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work onsite in Metro Manila.
