Are you an experienced civil engineering professional looking to make your mark on major infrastructure projects? H&T Associates Sdn Bhd is currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Inspector of Works (IOW) to join our site team in Penang. We are specifically looking for professionals with specialized expertise in the construction of viaducts and complex bridge structures.
As an IOW, you will serve as the eyes and ears of the project management team on-site, ensuring that all construction activities strictly adhere to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This is a critical role for a high-profile site in Penang, offering the opportunity to work with industry-leading engineers on infrastructure that shapes the connectivity of the region.
You will be responsible for quality control, site monitoring, and documentation, ensuring that every concrete pour, structural installation, and safety protocol meets the required engineering standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise day-to-day site construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Conduct regular inspections of structural works, specifically focusing on viaduct and bridge reinforcements, formwork, and concrete casting.
- Monitor the quality of materials delivered to the site to ensure they meet project standards and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and sub-contractors to resolve site-level technical issues and prevent construction delays.
- Prepare comprehensive daily site reports and progress updates for the project management team.
- Ensure all site safety protocols (OSHA/DOSH) are strictly followed by all personnel on the construction site.
- Witness and verify laboratory testing and site-based material testing procedures.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in site supervision, with specific tenure in viaduct, flyover, or bridge construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of structural engineering principles and relevant local building codes/standards.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Valid certification in Site Safety (e.g., CIDB Green Card, SHO, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in report writing and basic project management software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure construction environment.
