Tanggung Jawab
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits via web portals, automated systems, or direct phone calls to insurance carriers.
- Accurately document verification details in the patient management system to ensure seamless claim processing.
- Obtain necessary authorizations or referrals required for specific medical procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physician offices, clinical staff, and insurance representatives to resolve coverage discrepancies.
- Identify and escalate complex coverage issues to the appropriate department lead for prompt resolution.
- Maintain high levels of productivity while adhering to strict HIPAA compliance and data privacy regulations.
- Stay updated on various insurance plans, payer policies, and industry changes to ensure accuracy in verification.
Kualifikasi
- At least 1 year of experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or a similar role within a BPO/Healthcare setting.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal, with excellent phone etiquette.
- High degree of proficiency in navigating multiple computer applications and web-based tools simultaneously.
- Deep attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, specifically regarding insurance guidelines.
- Ability to work night shifts or shifting schedules as required by global business operations.
