Tanggung Jawab

  • Process incoming home health referrals, including demographic and clinical information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage for requested home health services.
  • Obtain pre-authorizations and re-authorizations from insurance companies for all services in a timely manner, proactively addressing any denials or issues.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with clinicians (e.g., nurses, therapists) while adhering to patient preferences, clinical needs, and geographical considerations.
  • Utilize and maintain accurate records within home health software systems, including CarePort and WellSky, for all intake, scheduling, and authorization activities.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, referral sources, clinicians, and insurance providers to ensure seamless service delivery and address inquiries.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.

Kualifikasi

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Intake, Scheduling, or Authorization Specialist role within a home health setting.
  • Proficiency in using home health Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically CarePort and WellSky.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and insurance authorization processes for home health services.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management.
