Are you a highly skilled Japanese interpreter seeking a challenging role in a world-class manufacturing environment? Murata, a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced electronic components, is looking for a talented Japanese Interpreter to join our team in Tanauan City, Batangas.
In this critical role, you will serve as the primary communication bridge between our Japanese expatriate staff and local Filipino teams. You will facilitate smooth and accurate information flow across various departments, including production, quality assurance, engineering, logistics, and administration. Your precision and cultural insight will directly contribute to maintaining the high standards of efficiency and quality that Murata is known for globally.
This is a contract position offering a highly competitive salary package ranging from ₱80,000 to ₱85,000 per month. We are looking for an individual who is not only linguistically proficient (JLPT N2/N1) but also possesses a strong understanding of Japanese business etiquette and manufacturing terminologies. Key responsibilities include consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during high-level meetings, technical discussions, and factory floor operations. You will also be tasked with translating complex technical documents, manuals, and reports, ensuring terminology is accurate and contextually appropriate. By fostering clear understanding between teams, you will play a vital role in driving operational excellence and innovation.
Tanggung Jawab
- Provide accurate consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and daily production operations.
- Translate technical documents, reports, emails, and official communications between Japanese and English/Filipino.
- Assist Japanese expatriates and local employees in bridging cultural and communication gaps effectively.
- Interpret during factory floor walks, quality audits, and technical discussions with engineering teams.
- Handle administrative tasks related to documentation, reporting, and record keeping for the department.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure clear and precise information flow across the organization.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional discretion in all interactions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Japanese Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or N1 certification is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional interpreting/translating experience, ideally in a manufacturing or electronics company.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English. Proficiency in Filipino is a plus.
- Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and professional etiquette.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Tanauan City, Batangas.
