Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to launch your career in the construction industry? Our established firm is seeking a driven Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated team at our Headquarters in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the financial management of construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, working alongside seasoned industry experts. You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from initial cost estimation to final account settlement.
As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. Your goal will be to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. Many of these projects will be based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, providing you with exposure to diverse architectural and engineering challenges.

Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in taking off quantities from project drawings and preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ).
- Support the preparation of tender documents and participate in the tender evaluation process.
- Assist in the preparation of progress claims and certification of sub-contractor payments.
- Perform regular site visits to verify work progress and monitor material usage on-site.
- Assist in the evaluation of Variation Orders (VOs) and the preparation of monthly cost reports.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and assist in the final account closing process.
- Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants regarding measurement and payment issues.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply; 1-2 years of relevant experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with Glodon or other measurement software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Possess own transportation for occasional site visits around the Klang Valley area.
