Are you an aspiring Quantity Surveyor looking to kickstart your career on a dynamic construction project? We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an exciting site-based project in Putrajaya. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in project cost control, contract administration, and site management.
As part of our project team, you will work closely with senior consultants and site managers to ensure project profitability and timely delivery. You will be responsible for monitoring site progress, measuring works, and assisting in the preparation of progress claims. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in measurement, a proactive attitude, and a passion for the construction industry.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the preparation of monthly progress claims and sub-contractor payments.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress and verify site records against project specifications.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications.
- Maintain systematic documentation of project variations, site instructions, and technical queries.
- Assist in the procurement process, including obtaining quotations and preparing comparative schedules.
- Support the project team in cost control and budget monitoring to ensure projects remain within financial limits.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to resolve measurement discrepancies on-site.
Kualifikasi
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1-2 years of relevant experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with CAD software or BIM tools is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a site-based environment.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Willingness to be based at the Putrajaya project site.
