Are you a strategic financial leader looking to drive operational excellence at a global industry leader? Air Liquide is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead, GL Accountant to oversee our general ledger accounting functions in Petaling, Selangor. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, leading a dedicated team of accountants, and implementing robust internal controls.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our financial reporting processes and mentor junior staff. We are looking for a professional who combines technical expertise in General Ledger management with strong leadership skills to support Air Liquide's continued growth in the region.
Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the General Ledger (GL) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of GL accountants, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Ensure strict compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth audits.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience working within a multinational corporate environment (MNC).
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams.
