As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly competent Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Petaling Jaya. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding the company's legal interests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary focus will be on the comprehensive management of legal matters, including the drafting and rigorous review of contracts and legal documents. You will be responsible for protecting the company’s rights and interests across all business transactions and operations. We are looking for a proactive professional who can navigate complex legal landscapes, mitigate risks, and ensure that Lotte Chemical Titan operates within the bounds of the law while pursuing growth opportunities.
Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and manage all legal aspects of the company’s daily operations, ensuring full compliance with Malaysian laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, service level agreements, and partnership deals.
- Provide expert legal advisory and guidance to management and department heads on corporate governance, commercial risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence to support strategic business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and new project developments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for legal disputes and litigation, working with external counsel to resolve issues effectively.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to minimize legal exposure and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage intellectual property matters and ensure the protection of the company’s brand and proprietary assets.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Admitted to the Malaysian Bar Council and currently practicing as an Advocate and Solicitor.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-call experience in corporate law, contract management, or a similar in-house legal role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent drafting and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial contract law, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
