AFC SME Finance Inc. is seeking a proactive and highly analytical Legal Counsel to join our team in the heart of Ortigas. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary legal advisor to our organization, ensuring our business operations remain fully compliant with Philippine laws and evolving financial regulations.
As our Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for navigating complex regulatory landscapes, drafting critical documentation, and providing strategic guidance to leadership. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide expert legal advice and strategic support to management on a wide range of corporate and financial matters.
- Ensure the company’s strict compliance with all relevant Philippine laws, SEC regulations, and BSP guidelines.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, loan agreements, and service level agreements.
- Manage corporate secretarial functions, including the preparation of board resolutions, minutes, and corporate filings.
- Represent the company in administrative proceedings and coordinate with external legal counsel for litigation matters.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies to mitigate risks across different departments.
- Keep the organization updated on relevant legislative changes and judicial developments impacting the SME financing industry.
Kualifikasi
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be an active member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine Civil, Corporate, and Banking laws.
- Strong analytical, research, and technical writing skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
