In this key role, you will serve as the legal anchor for our operations, providing comprehensive legal support, safeguarding organizational interests, and mitigating business risks. Collaborating closely with executive management and various departments, you will ensure that all business practices comply with current legislation and corporate governance standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, joint venture agreements, and legal documents.
- Provide strategic, accurate, and timely legal advice to management on regulatory compliance, operational risks, and corporate developments.
- Ensure the organization’s policies and practices are fully compliant with federal, state, and local laws in Malaysia.
- Manage corporate secretarial matters, corporate governance records, and coordinate external legal counsel when necessary.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on emerging legislative changes, industry standards, and judicial precedents.
- Proactively handle dispute resolutions, litigation management, and potential legal claims to minimize business disruptions.
- Develop and implement internal compliance frameworks, standard operating procedures, and risk-management guidelines.
Kualifikasi
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university.
- Admitted to the Malaysian Bar (called to the Bar is highly preferred).
- At least 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in-house or in private practice, with strong exposure to commercial and corporate law.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage for communicating with international stakeholders and translating legal concepts.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and sound commercial acumen.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and make critical legal assessments under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
