The Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) through its GRASP 2030 initiative is seeking a highly skilled Legal Expert to join our mission of advancing sustainable business practices in Indonesia. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape legal frameworks that drive environmental stewardship, corporate governance, and social responsibility across Southeast Asia's dynamic economy. You'll collaborate with industry leaders, government bodies, and international organizations to develop compliance strategies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure alignment with global sustainability standards. Join us in translating legal expertise into actionable solutions that balance regulatory requirements with innovative business practices.
As a core member of our sustainability ecosystem, you'll contribute to landmark projects that redefine Indonesia's corporate landscape. The position requires deep familiarity with Indonesian commercial law, international sustainability protocols, and emerging ESG regulations. Your work will directly influence policy development, contract negotiations, and stakeholder engagement initiatives that position Indonesia as a leader in sustainable development.
Tanggung Jawab
- Provide expert legal counsel on sustainability regulations, environmental compliance, and corporate governance frameworks
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for sustainability-related legal challenges
- Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging ESG trends and regulatory developments
- Draft and review contracts, policies, and compliance documentation aligned with GRASP 2030 objectives
- Represent the organization in stakeholder engagements with government agencies and industry coalitions
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into sustainability projects
- Monitor legislative changes and advise on their implications for sustainable business operations
Kualifikasi
- Master's degree in Law with specialization in Environmental Law, Corporate Compliance, or International Business Law
- Minimum 5 years of experience in legal practice with focus on sustainability or CSR initiatives
- Deep understanding of Indonesian legal framework and international sustainability standards (GRI, SASB)
- Proven track record in developing compliance programs for environmental and social regulations
- Strong research and analytical skills with ability to interpret complex legal documentation
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Certification in ESG reporting or sustainability management preferred
