Zhongtsing New Energy is embarking on a landmark Sino-Indonesian joint venture within the renewable energy sector. We are seeking a highly capable and strategic Legal Manager to establish our legal department from the ground up in Jakarta. This is a unique opportunity to shape the governance, compliance, and legal framework of a high-growth entity playing a pivotal role in the green energy transition.
As the primary legal point of contact, you will bridge the gap between international corporate standards and local Indonesian regulatory requirements. You will work closely with executive leadership to manage risk, facilitate seamless cross-border operations, and ensure the company remains ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving legislative landscape.
Tanggung Jawab
- Establish and standardize the end-to-end legal framework for the company’s operations in Indonesia.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice to management regarding Indonesian corporate law, foreign investment regulations, and industry-specific energy legislation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, EPC contracts, and service level agreements.
- Manage corporate secretarial functions, including the maintenance of statutory records and regulatory filings.
- Identify potential legal risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and interests.
- Act as the primary liaison with external legal counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with the HQ legal department to ensure alignment with global group policies and reporting standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (S1) from a reputable university; a Master’s degree (LL.M.) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional legal experience, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
- Proven track record of working within international joint ventures or multinational corporations, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Deep understanding of the Indonesian legal system, including investment laws (BKPM), labor law, and land acquisition regulations.
- Fluency in both Indonesian and English (written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to business-integrated legal advice.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-cultural stakeholders effectively.
