PT Mai Mobil Indonesia, the exclusive distributor of Geely electric vehicles (EVs) in Indonesia, is seeking a talented and dedicated Legal Staff to join our team in Jakarta Barat. As a key player in the rapidly evolving automotive and renewable energy sector, we are looking for a legal professional who can navigate the complexities of Indonesian corporate, commercial, and trade law to ensure our operations remain fully compliant, ethical, and robust against business risks.

In this critical role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for legal affairs affecting our sales, marketing, dealer networks, and after-sales services. Tanggung Jawab
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, dealer/distributor agreements, service contracts, and NDAs in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Providing accurate, timely, and practical legal advice and opinions to various internal departments (Sales, Marketing, After-Sales, HR, and Finance) regarding legal rights, risks, and obligations.
- Ensuring strict company compliance with all applicable Indonesian laws and regulations, including those specific to the automotive, import/export, and electric vehicle industries.
- Managing and coordinating with external law firms on litigation, dispute resolution, intellectual property matters, and specialized legal research projects.
- Developing, implementing, and updating company policies, legal procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate legal risks.
- Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment, advising management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments to business practices.
- Managing the company’s official legal documentation, corporate filings, and permit/license applications while ensuring proper filing systems and confidentiality.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable university, with a strong academic record (minimum GPA 3.00 out of 4.00).
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Legal Officer or Legal Staff, preferably within a multinational corporation, a reputable law firm, or the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian corporate law, commercial law, labor law, and relevant government regulations.
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex laws and regulations and provide clear, actionable, and decisive advice to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong command of English, both oral and written, enabling effective review and drafting of international contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with legal research databases.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to work independently under pressure with tight deadlines.
