China Harbour Engineering Company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team in Jurong East. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive commercial and contractual support across our large-scale construction projects. You will be the primary lead for M&E-related cost management, ensuring project profitability while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in measurements and procurement.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of M&E packages, from initial budget forecasting and subcontractor tendering to final account settlement. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to navigate complex contractual landscapes and ensure that all variations are accurately valued and executed. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage M&E cost planning, budgeting, and detailed quantification of works.
- Oversee the tender process, including the evaluation of subcontractor proposals and contract negotiations.
- Administer subcontracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and performance standards.
- Perform meticulous Variation Management, including preparing, submitting, and agreeing on VO claims.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify work-in-progress for monthly progress payments.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive final accounts and resolve any outstanding contractual disputes with stakeholders.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in M&E Quantity Surveying, preferably within large-scale construction or infrastructure firms.
- Strong proficiency in local contract forms (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA) and standard methods of measurement.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with the ability to manage complex data.
- Proven experience in handling major subcontractor accounts and negotiations.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and industry-standard construction software.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships with diverse teams.
