The Role
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing all technical aspects of our partnership with Managing General Agents (MGAs). Your primary mandate is to ensure that all MGA-related business operations are conducted prudently, efficiently, and in strict adherence to internal policies, industry best practices, and regulatory standards set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). This is a high-impact role that demands a strategic mindset combined with deep technical expertise in insurance operations.
What You Will Do
You will take full ownership of the technical framework supporting our MGA distribution channels. This involves spearheading system implementations, optimizing workflow processes, and managing the end-to-end operational lifecycle of MGA partnerships. Your ability to navigate complex technical environments, manage key vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement will be critical to achieving operational excellence. You will also be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing technical services team, fostering a strong culture of accountability and innovation.

Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end technical operations for all Managing General Agent (MGA) partnerships, ensuring business is conducted prudently and efficiently.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust operational procedures and controls to ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead system implementation projects, including requirement gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-launch support.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, generating insightful reports for senior management.
- Manage and mentor a team of technical services professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Claims, and IT departments to streamline processes and resolve complex technical issues.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and MGAs, negotiating service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring service delivery standards are met.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments on MGA operations, identifying areas for improvement and mitigating operational risks.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Insurance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of extensive experience in the general insurance industry, specifically within technical services, operations, or IT.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, leading teams and driving operational excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of general insurance products, underwriting processes, and policy administration systems.
- Strong familiarity with Managing General Agent (MGA) operations and distribution models is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of Singapore's regulatory landscape and MAS guidelines for insurance intermediaries.
- Exceptional analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
