Are you a strategic leader passionate about driving economic growth and sustainable tourism development? The East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) invites an experienced and dynamic Manager, Business Development (Tourism) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for spearheading tourism development initiatives, facilitating high-value investments, and fostering strong stakeholder engagement across the region.
As a key member of our team, you will translate strategic economic plans into actionable projects that enhance Malaysia’s tourism appeal. You will work closely with government bodies, private investors, and industry partners to unlock the potential of the East Coast Economic Region. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of tourism development projects within the ECER region.
- Identify and secure new investment opportunities to drive growth in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
- Facilitate investment processes by liaising with government agencies, investors, and industry stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with public and private sector partners to ensure alignment on economic goals.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive advantages.
- Prepare high-level proposals, business cases, and presentations for government and private sector engagements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in business development, project management, or government sector.
- Strong understanding of tourism industry dynamics, economic policies, and investment facilitation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
