In this critical management role, you will be the backbone of the hospital's revenue cycle and patient financial services. You will oversee a dedicated team responsible for ensuring that the patient's journey—from admission to discharge—is supported by transparent financial counseling and accurate billing practices. You will navigate the complexities of healthcare subsidies and ILTC (Intermediate and Long-Term Care) frameworks to ensure both organizational sustainability and patient accessibility.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Singapore healthcare landscape, including familiarity with CHCS and government funding models. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the daily operations of the Hospital Business Office, including patient registration, billing, and discharge processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of business office staff, ensuring high standards of productivity and professional service.
- Manage the financial counseling process to ensure patients and their families understand hospital charges, payment modes, and available subsidies.
- Ensure accurate and timely ILTC (Intermediate and Long-Term Care) billing and claims processing through CHCS.
- Administer and oversee government subsidy schemes and means-testing processes in compliance with MOH guidelines.
- Review and optimize revenue cycle workflows to improve efficiency and minimize billing errors.
- Collaborate with clinical and social work departments to manage complex patient financial cases.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, aging reports, and operational metrics for senior management review.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in healthcare finance or hospital business office operations.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore's healthcare financing landscape, including MediShield Life, MediSave, and various subsidy frameworks.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Community Health Chas System (CHCS).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive patient financial discussions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
