We are looking for a visionary Manager - Buyer to lead our Beauty and Personal Care category strategy. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for translating market trends into actionable buying plans, ensuring our product portfolio remains competitive and aligned with consumer demands. You will oversee the end-to-end buying process, from sourcing and vendor negotiation to product launch and performance analysis.
As a key leader within our Retail & Consumer Products division, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, operations, and supply chain—to drive sales growth and optimize inventory efficiency. This position requires a deep understanding of the beauty industry landscape and the ability to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability while maintaining high standards of product quality.
Tanggung Jawab
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive buying strategies for Beauty & Personal Care that align with company goals and market opportunities.
- Trend Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new product opportunities and growth areas.
- Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to secure optimal pricing, delivery terms, and product exclusivity.
- Inventory Optimization: Oversee inventory levels, stock planning, and allocation to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory while ensuring product freshness.
- Product Curation: Curate product assortments that resonate with target demographics, ensuring a balanced mix of established brands and emerging local products.
- Performance Review: Analyze sales data, KPIs, and margin reports to measure the success of buying decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior buyers and merchandisers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Kualifikasi
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a buying or merchandising role, specifically within the FMCG or Beauty & Personal Care sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of beauty trends, ingredients, and the retail supply chain.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using data analysis tools to interpret sales reports and drive strategic decision-making.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation abilities with a proven track record of securing favorable contracts.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects effectively.
