We are looking for a highly motivated Manager - Buyers (Toys) to join our high-performing procurement team. In this role, you will be instrumental in curating our toy assortment, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that our stores across Malaysia remain the top destination for families.
You will be responsible for identifying emerging market trends, negotiating competitive pricing, and optimizing inventory levels to drive sales performance. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute comprehensive buying strategies for the Toy category to maximize profitability and market share.
- Source and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong partnerships with existing vendors to ensure consistent supply and quality.
- Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitor pricing, and emerging consumer demands in the toy market.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional activities with suppliers to achieve target margins.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient product distribution.
- Monitor sales performance metrics (sell-through rates, stock turn, GMROI) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Plan and coordinate seasonal promotions and seasonal toy collections for retail store launches.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in retail buying, procurement, or category management, specifically within the toy or children's goods sector.
- Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in data analysis and retail management software (ERP/POS systems).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the Malaysian retail landscape and consumer shopping behaviors.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; proficiency in Mandarin is considered an added advantage.
