Join John Clements as a Manager Controllership and lead critical accounting operations within our dynamic Finance Center of Excellence. This pivotal role oversees daily accounting activities for Synchrony's business operations, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial reporting. You'll drive process improvements, manage financial controls, and collaborate cross-functionally to support business growth. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you'll shape financial policies, mentor accounting professionals, and deliver actionable insights that drive organizational success. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee daily accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Lead financial reporting activities ensuring accuracy and timely submission of financial statements
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance
- Manage and mentor accounting staff through performance coaching and professional development
- Coordinate external audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards (IFRS/Philippine GAAP)
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process optimization
- Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and business units to support strategic financial initiatives
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA license required)
- Minimum 5-7 years progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in supervisory role
- Expert knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in process improvement and implementing financial controls
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team development and mentoring
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
- Experience in multinational corporate environment preferred
