We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager, Statutory Financial Reporting to lead the Non-Financial Institutions, Analytics & Subsidiary Accounting team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality statutory and regulatory reports that drive business decisions.
As a Manager within CIMB Group, you will ensure strict adherence to financial reporting standards (IFRS/MYFRS) and regulatory requirements. You will manage a team of professionals, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all subsidiary accounting functions. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of statutory financial statements for all subsidiaries, ensuring full compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.
- Oversee the Non-Financial Institutions, Analytics, and Subsidiary Accounting teams to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality deliverables.
- Review and validate complex financial data, reconciliations, and analytical reports prepared by team members.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and statutory reports to relevant authorities (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia, BNM).
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to provide clear explanations and supporting documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the reporting function to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Conduct training and mentorship for junior staff to foster professional development and technical expertise.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in statutory financial reporting, subsidiary accounting, or financial control, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, MASB (Malaysian Accounting Standards Board) and corporate reporting regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team of accountants or finance professionals.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and produce actionable insights.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to senior management.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
