- Review patient medical records to ensure accurate and complete coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify medical conditions and diagnoses.
- Identify opportunities for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) to enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, coding standards, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and coding databases.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions and coding audits to stay current with industry standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of documentation improvement initiatives.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, Health Information Management, or related field.
- Previous experience in medical coding or clinical documentation is preferred but not required (willingness to train).
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive training program prior to remote work.
