Tanggung Jawab
- Assign appropriate DRG codes to inpatient medical records based on documentation and coding guidelines
- Review and interpret physician notes, discharge summaries, and operative reports for accurate code selection
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve documentation ambiguities and coding discrepancies
- Conduct regular coding audits to maintain quality assurance and regulatory adherence
- Generate coding reports for reimbursement analysis and departmental performance metrics
- Stay updated on coding regulation changes through continuous education
Kualifikasi
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient hospital coding experience with DRG expertise
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with encoder software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Excellent attention to detail with error detection capabilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
