Are you a dedicated healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact? The Philippine Red Cross is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our life-saving team in Guimaras. In this role, you will be at the forefront of blood services, ensuring the safety, accuracy, and quality of laboratory procedures that directly contribute to patient survival.
As a key member of our laboratory team, you will perform essential diagnostic testing and blood processing, adhering to the highest standards of biosafety and professional excellence. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing, including blood banking, hematology, and clinical chemistry procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of test results through strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Assurance protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Accurately document and report findings in accordance with Red Cross data privacy and health regulations.
- Collect blood samples from donors and patients with high regard for safety and bedside manner.
- Participate in the preparation, storage, and inventory management of blood components and laboratory reagents.
- Assist in the implementation of safety measures to prevent laboratory-acquired infections and cross-contamination.
- Support blood donation drives and community health screening activities as required.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
- Current and valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license for Medical Technologists.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with donors and medical staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, biosafety standards, and blood banking regulations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; previous experience in a blood bank or hospital laboratory is an advantage.
- Must be willing to be assigned in Guimaras, Western Visayas.
