Are you passionate about the healing power of music? Assisi Hospice is looking for a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this meaningful role, you will utilize music as a therapeutic tool to improve the quality of life for patients and their families during their hospice journey.
As a Music Therapist, you will design and implement individualized music therapy intervention programs tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Your work will focus on addressing physical, emotional, cognitive, and social challenges, helping to alleviate pain, reduce anxiety, and provide comfort. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary hospice team to ensure holistic care and provide support to families navigating the complexities of end-of-life care.
Tanggung Jawab
- Plan, develop, and implement individualized Music Therapy intervention programs for patients and their families.
- Conduct regular music therapy sessions utilizing a variety of instruments and musical techniques to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical observations and feedback.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to integrate music therapy into the overall hospice care plan.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families regarding the benefits of music therapy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation and case notes.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Music Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or equivalent professional certification.
- Experience in palliative, hospice, or geriatric care is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of music theory and proficiency in playing at least one instrument (piano, guitar, etc.) is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
