We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Aide to join the dynamic team at St. John's - St. Margaret's Nursing Home. In this rewarding and essential role, you will play a pivotal part in the daily lives of our residents by providing direct support to our Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN). Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the delivery of holistic nursing care, ensuring that our residents maintain their dignity, comfort, and independence while receiving the highest standard of medical attention. As a Nursing Aide, you will work closely with the wider healthcare team to monitor resident health status, assist with personal hygiene, and maintain a safe, clean facility. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support the nursing team in monitoring vital signs and reporting changes in patient condition.
- Assist with mobility exercises and transfers to prevent bedsores and promote physical activity.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and provide feeding assistance when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Document care activities and observations accurately in patient records.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and social interaction to residents.
Kualifikasi
- Completion of a relevant Nursing Assistant or Caregiver certification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving patients safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor towards the elderly.
