Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct comprehensive functional and cognitive assessments for elderly residents to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Design and implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and motor skills.
- Recommend and train residents and caregivers on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists to ensure a cohesive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Monitor and document resident progress, adjusting therapy plans as functional needs evolve.
- Conduct home environment assessments and recommend safety modifications for residents.
- Provide education and support to families regarding the management of age-related conditions and post-acute recovery.
Kualifikasi
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Singapore.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with elderly residents and their families.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for eldercare.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local dialects is an added advantage.
