We are currently seeking an Online Interpreter/Translator to join our expanding remote team. This full-time home-based position is ideal for language enthusiasts who are fluent in English and Mandarin or Cantonese and excel in customer service settings.

As an Online Interpreter/Translator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring clear and accurate communication between parties. You will handle a variety of tasks including live interpretation for phone and video interactions, as well as translation of documents and other written materials. We provide extensive professional training to set you up for success, and our team offers continuous support and feedback to help you grow.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Provide accurate real-time interpretation between English and Mandarin or Cantonese for customer service calls and video conferences.
  • Translate written documents, emails, and other correspondence ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Review and proofread translated materials to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve language resources and processes.
  • Keep abreast of industry terminology and changes in language use.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development activities.
  • Report to team leads and provide feedback on service quality.

Kualifikasi

  • Native or near-native fluency in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese (both spoken and written).
  • Prior experience in interpretation or translation is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided.
  • Excellent active listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to navigate sensitive topics.
  • Proficiency in computer use and ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional work environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to work full-time flexible shifts.
  • Certification in languages or interpretation is a plus.
