We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join the clinical team at SIBU SPECIALIST MEDICAL CENTRE. You will also play a vital role in educating patients on proper eye care routines, managing pre- and post-operative care, and maintaining accurate medical records. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests to assess visual acuity and eye health.
- Diagnose ocular diseases, conditions, and vision problems; refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, glasses, and contact lenses tailored to individual patient needs.
- Advise patients on proper eye care, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to maintain healthy vision.
- Conduct preliminary screenings for glaucoma, cataracts, and other refractive errors.
- Manage patient records, including history, examinations, and treatment plans, ensuring confidentiality.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the Malaysian Opticians Council (MOC) and holds a valid Malaysian Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of optometric equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
