Are you an experienced underwriting professional looking to make a strategic impact? PERSOL is seeking a motivated P&C Underwriter (Assistant Manager / Manager) to join our dynamic insurance team in the Central Region. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving excellence in risk assessment, pricing model development, and comprehensive portfolio management within the Property & Casualty insurance sector.
We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who can balance technical underwriting rigor with commercial acumen. You will play a key role in analyzing market trends, refining underwriting guidelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve profitable growth and enhance our market position in a competitive landscape.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and execute underwriting strategies for Property & Casualty insurance portfolios to ensure profitability and growth.
- Develop and refine sophisticated pricing models to accurately assess risk and improve competitive positioning.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on portfolio performance, identifying emerging trends and providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with the sales and distribution teams to provide technical underwriting support and evaluate complex insurance risks.
- Maintain compliance with internal underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage key broker and client relationships to negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing structures.
- Mentor junior underwriting staff and contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental underwriting processes.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in P&C underwriting within the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical pricing models and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets to drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing both internal and external partners.
- Professional insurance certifications (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF, or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in insurance underwriting systems and advanced MS Excel/data visualization tools.
