Tanggung Jawab
- Prosecute patent applications from filing to grant through strategic drafting and prosecution before the Malaysian Intellectual Property Office (MyIPO)
- Conduct comprehensive patentability, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and infringement analyses for clients
- Advise clients on patent portfolio management, maintenance, and enforcement strategies
- Prepare and prosecute international patent applications under PCT and direct filing routes
- Collaborate with inventors and engineers to grasp complex technical innovations and translate them into patent claims
- Represent clients in patent opposition proceedings and administrative hearings
- Manage client relationships and provide strategic IP counseling aligned with business objectives
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, or related technical field
- Admission to the Malaysian Patent Bar or eligibility for immediate admission
- 3+ years of experience in patent prosecution and IP law practice
- Strong technical background with ability to understand complex innovations
- Excellent drafting skills with proficiency in patent claim and specification writing
- Proficiency in patent databases (e.g., PatBase, Espacenet) and IP management tools
- Certified Patent Agent qualification from MyIPO or equivalent
