We are seeking a visionary Principal Engineer / Staff Engineer to join our innovative Property IQ team. In this pivotal role, you will define the technical strategy and drive the evolution of our Strata Application, ensuring it remains a market-leading platform in the property management space. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your technical leadership will directly shape the future of property technology. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be architecting highly scalable systems, writing production code, and mentoring senior engineers to elevate the entire team's capabilities.
As a key member of the engineering leadership team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and global peers to translate complex business requirements into robust, elegant technical solutions. You will champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, test automation, and operational excellence. Your deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and financial services will be crucial as you navigate the unique challenges of building reliable, secure, and performant applications.

Tanggung Jawab
- Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap and architecture for the Property IQ Strata platform.
- Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers and development teams, promoting best practices in software engineering, testing, and operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and ensure high standards of code quality and performance.
- Drive technology evaluation and adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and cloud-native patterns.
- Champion a DevOps culture, emphasizing automation, CI/CD, and observability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Macquarie remains at the cutting edge.
Kualifikasi
- Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on designing and building complex, distributed systems.
- Proven track record as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or in a similar senior technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise in Java, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, and messaging systems (Kafka, Pulsar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term architecture goals with short-term delivery needs.
- Experience in the financial services or property/strata sector is highly valued but not essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
