Purchasing Staff (Pembelian)

Derucci, a leading manufacturing and logistics company in Batam, Indonesia, is seeking a highly motivated and bilingual Purchasing Staff (Pembelian) to join our procurement team. In this role, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality materials and services, with a strong focus on China-based suppliers. You will communicate fluently in both Indonesian and Chinese (Mandarin) to manage daily procurement operations, negotiate contracts, and coordinate international shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers locally and internationally, particularly in China.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and quality standards.
• Process purchase orders and track deliveries to meet production needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular performance reports.
• Handle import/export documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
• Utilize B2B platforms like 1688 and Alibaba International for supplier research and purchasing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Indonesian and Chinese (Mandarin) – written and spoken – is mandatory.
• Basic English proficiency is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, hardware, or electronics.
• Familiarity with China procurement processes and platforms such as 1688 and Alibaba International.
• Knowledge of Batam local customs clearance and import regulations.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
