We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our construction project team in Kuching. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our infrastructure and building projects meet the highest international standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will act as the technical guardian on-site, overseeing every phase of construction to identify potential risks, monitor material quality, and ensure that all works strictly adhere to the approved engineering designs and project specifications.
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a deep understanding of construction methodologies and quality management systems. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain operational excellence and deliver high-quality project outcomes on time.
Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction works comply with architectural and engineering drawings.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans and procedures.
- Monitor and document all material testing and site inspections to ensure strict compliance with project specifications.
- Manage the documentation of non-conformance reports (NCR) and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with consultants and local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and project certifications.
- Perform daily audits of site workmanship and construction activities to identify deficiencies.
- Supervise testing procedures for concrete, steel, and other construction materials to ensure structural integrity.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and quality audit summaries for the management team.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction QA/QC or site engineering roles.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction industry standards (ISO/ASTM).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Possess a valid professional registration (e.g., BEM/IEM) is highly desirable.
