We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Penang. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all cost aspects of building and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects from inception to completion. You will ensure financial control through accurate cost estimation, tender documentation, and contract administration while maintaining compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, providing strategic cost management advice to project stakeholders and optimizing value throughout the project lifecycle.
Tanggung Jawab
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, and cost estimates for construction projects
- Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders
- Conduct risk analysis and value management studies
- Manage procurement processes and negotiate with suppliers/contractors
- Handle contractual claims, variations, and final account settlements
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve cost-related issues
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction cost management
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., WinQS, CostX)
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC and local construction contracts
- Certified Professional Quantity Surveyor (CPQS) or RICS accreditation preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
