Lum Chang Building Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the Central Region. As a key player in our project delivery team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive cost management and contractual support across various large-scale construction projects.
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring project profitability, meticulous cost control, and adherence to both legal and stringent quality standards. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of construction economics. Tanggung Jawab
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
- Manage tender processes, including drafting tender documents, evaluating bids, and conducting negotiations.
- Oversee contract administration, including progress claims, variation orders, and final account settlements.
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and verify that work aligns with cost projections and quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Analyze risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure all construction activities strictly comply with statutory regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
Kualifikasi
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g., SIA, PSSCOC, REDAS).
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., SISV, RICS) is highly advantageous.
