Bayes is excited to announce a career opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our client, a premier regional MNC delivering state-of-the-art M&E solutions for high-tech industrial facilities and data center projects across Singapore. Based in Woodlands, North Region, you will be an integral part of a dynamic project team, taking full ownership of the commercial and contractual lifecycle of complex, high-value projects. Your expertise in cost management, contract administration, and procurement will be vital in ensuring project profitability and adherence to strict timelines and quality standards.
As the M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and budgets from the initial tender stage through to project completion. You will manage the tendering and procurement process, evaluate subcontractor claims, prepare progress reports, and negotiate final accounts. You will work closely with project directors, engineers, and external consultants to provide strategic cost advice and ensure financial risks are effectively mitigated.
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in M&E quantity surveying. The ideal candidate will possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Building Services, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. Prior experience in data center, high-tech industrial, or pharmaceutical projects is highly advantageous. You must have in-depth knowledge of Singapore standard building contracts (SIA, PSSCOC, REDAS) and be proficient in cost management software.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial feasibility reports for M&E works in high-tech and data center projects.
- Manage the full tendering cycle, including drafting tender packages, conducting bid evaluations, and negotiating contracts.
- Administer project contracts, ensuring strict adherence to terms, conditions, and statutory requirements.
- Evaluate subcontractor progress claims, variation orders, and prepare interim payment certificates.
- Perform site measurements, track project costs, and prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Negotiate and settle final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, providing strategic cost advice to the project team.
- Collaborate with project directors, engineers, and procurement to ensure financial targets are met.
Kualifikasi
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in M&E works.
- Previous experience working on data center, high-tech industrial, or pharmaceutical plant projects is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore building contracts (SIA, PSSCOC, REDAS) and procurement practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiar with cost management software (e.g., CostX, Cubit).
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
