Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to play a pivotal role in one of Singapore's most iconic infrastructure projects? Smitech Engineering Pte Ltd, a leader in the M&E contracting sector, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our site-based team at Changi Airport.
As a key member of our dynamic commercial department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive cost management and contractual support for large-scale M&E installations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Manage project budget, cost estimation, and financial reporting for M&E infrastructure works.
- Prepare and process progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts in a timely manner.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers regarding tenders, quotations, and contract negotiations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify work quantities for billing purposes.
- Manage contractual documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
- Identify potential cost savings and risk mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with the internal QS team and site project managers to ensure commercial targets are met.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in M&E construction or infrastructure projects in Singapore.
- Proficient in local construction industry practices, SMM, and standard forms of contract (e.g., PSSCOC).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard QS software.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure on a site-based assignment.
