We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in the West Region.
In this critical role, you will manage the financial health of our construction projects from inception to completion. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, manage budgets, handle procurement and tender processes, and administer contracts. Your strategic input will guide value engineering efforts, mitigate financial risks, and ensure projects are delivered within budget. You will also mentor junior team members and help shape best practices.
You will work on a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients. Your analytical skills, negotiation ability, and clear communication will be essential to success. Tanggung Jawab
- Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for construction projects
- Manage tendering processes including preparation of tender documents, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation
- Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports for stakeholders
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify measurements, and evaluate variations
- Handle contractual claims, disputes, and settlements in compliance with contract terms
- Provide strategic advice on cost-saving initiatives and value engineering
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external consultants to achieve project objectives
- Mentor junior quantity surveyors and contribute to team development
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of quantity surveying experience in the construction industry (Senior role requires at least 8 years with leadership experience)
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts such as SIA, PSSCOC, or equivalent
- Proficiency in cost management software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Professional accreditation (e.g., SISV, RICS) is highly desirable
- Proven track record of delivering projects within budget and schedule
