In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals, verifying insurance coverage, and managing the onboarding process for a prestigious US mental healthcare provider. Your efforts will ensure that patients receive timely access to quality mental health services.
What You Will Do:
As a Referral Specialist, you will serve as the liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. You will review referral requests, check patient eligibility and benefits, obtain necessary authorizations, and schedule appointments. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential as you maintain comprehensive records in our electronic health record (EHR) system. You will also collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address any issues and improve processes.

Tanggung Jawab
- Coordinate and process incoming and outgoing patient referrals for mental healthcare services.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing and authorization.
- Communicate with referring physicians, patients, and insurance companies to obtain necessary documentation and pre-authorizations.
- Manage patient onboarding processes, including scheduling initial appointments and collecting required information.
- Maintain accurate records and tracking of referrals in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve referral-related issues and ensure timely patient access.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and their families throughout the referral process.
Kualifikasi
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, referral coordination, or insurance verification role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance plans, and referral processes.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
