Our client, a leading firm in the industry, is looking for a meticulous and analytical Reinsurance / Non-Life Underwriting Executive (Motor) to join their high-performing team in Raffles Place.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing complex motor insurance risks, managing reinsurance placements, and contributing to the overall profitability of the non-life portfolio. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure optimal underwriting standards, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and the delivery of superior service to our broking partners. Tanggung Jawab
- Evaluate and underwrite motor insurance risks in accordance with company underwriting guidelines and appetite.
- Manage the reinsurance placement process, including treaty and facultative arrangements, to optimize risk retention.
- Monitor portfolio performance and profitability, providing regular reports to management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and external regulatory standards (MAS).
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify emerging trends in the motor insurance sector.
- Assist in the development and refinement of new product offerings and pricing structures.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in non-life underwriting, with a specific focus on motor insurance.
- Proficiency in reinsurance principles and practices (treaty and facultative).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced MS Excel capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Relevant insurance certifications (e.g., CMI, SCI exams) are highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
