Steeltech Industries is seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Rigger & Signalman to join our dynamic production team in Tuas. This is a vital role within our industrial operations, ensuring that lifting activities are conducted with the highest level of precision and adherence to safety standards. We are looking for a reliable individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced heavy industrial environment.
As a Rigger & Signalman, you will serve as the critical link between ground operations and crane operators. Beyond your primary lifting duties, you will play a hands-on role in our daily operations by assisting with basic metalwork and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace. Tanggung Jawab
- Coordinate and direct lifting operations using standard hand signals or radio communication to ensure safe load movement.
- Inspect all rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, and chains, before use to identify any wear or defects.
- Securely rig loads of various sizes and weights, ensuring proper balance and attachment points.
- Perform basic metalwork tasks, including simple fabrication, cutting, or grinding as required by the production team.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by keeping the work area clean and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist with general labor and material handling tasks to support the overall workflow of the facility.
- Collaborate effectively with crane operators and other site personnel to minimize downtime and prevent accidents.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Rigger and Signalman Certificate (MOM-recognized) is mandatory.
- Proven experience working in a construction, shipyard, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of lifting capacities, load weight estimation, and rigging techniques.
- Ability to perform manual labor and move comfortably in an industrial setting.
- Prior experience or basic proficiency in simple metalwork and the use of hand tools.
- A proactive attitude toward housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow complex technical instructions.
- Willingness to work in the Tuas area and follow a full-time industrial schedule.
