Michael Page is seeking a proactive RTR / GL Accountant (Mandarin Speaker) to support our client’s accounting and finance department in Selangor. This position is central to the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) process, which is the backbone of accurate financial reporting and decision‑making across the organization.
In this role you will be responsible for general ledger (GL) maintenance, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly, reconciling intercompany balances, and delivering a clean month‑end close. You will prepare and review journal entries, analyze account variances, and produce detailed financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
Your bilingual Mandarin capability will enable you to liaise effectively with regional headquarters, translate financial documentation, and support cross‑border audit queries. The ideal candidate will also identify and implement process improvements, leverage automation tools, and mentor junior team members to elevate overall team performance.

Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report (RTR) cycle, ensuring timely and accurate month‑end close.
- Perform GL postings, reconciliations, and journal entries in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
- Coordinate intercompany reconciliation and resolve discrepancies with regional teams.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory reporting, tax filings, and audit requirements.
- Support the external audit process by providing required schedules and explanations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamline processes, and mentor junior staff.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in RTR, GL accounting, or financial reporting.
- Business‑level proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken); ability to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent; advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with IFRS, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude toward problem‑solving.
