China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is seeking a highly vigilant and proactive Safety and Health Officer to join our prestigious project team in Genting Highlands. As a global leader in construction, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our workforce above all else.
In this role, you will be the primary advocate for workplace safety, ensuring that all site operations strictly adhere to the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA) and internal CSCEC global safety protocols. You will play a pivotal role in identifying potential hazards, implementing mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of safety excellence within a high-stakes construction environment. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS).
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967.
- Lead daily toolbox meetings and deliver safety induction training for new employees and sub-contractors.
- Investigate site accidents, near-misses, and incidents, providing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure all heavy machinery, equipment, and lifting gear are inspected and certified according to regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive safety documentation and prepare monthly compliance reports for project management.
- Collaborate with local authorities (DOSH/NIOSH) during site visits and regulatory audits.
Kualifikasi
- Possess a valid Green Book certification as a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) registered with DOSH Malaysia.
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction site safety management.
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation, building codes, and international safety standards (ISO 45001).
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively manage site personnel and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in challenging terrains and high-altitude site conditions (Genting Highlands).
- Valid driving license and ability to travel as required.
