China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is currently seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Safety and Health Officer (SHO) to join our dynamic project teams. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining a 'Safety First' culture across our high-profile construction projects in Rawang and Johor Bahru.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of comprehensive safety programs, ensuring total compliance with DOSH regulations, and fostering a proactive safety environment. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific Safety and Health Management Systems (SHMS).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994).
- Lead daily toolbox talks and conduct safety briefings for site personnel and subcontractors.
- Investigate all workplace accidents, near-misses, and incidents, providing detailed root-cause analysis and corrective action reports.
- Liaise effectively with DOSH officers, local authorities, and project management to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all site machinery, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) meet safety standards.
- Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, training records, and site safety reports.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Yellow Book (SHO certification) registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Safety and Health Officer in the construction industry.
- Deep understanding of Malaysian construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage safety protocols for large-scale, fast-paced construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and train staff at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in preparing technical safety reports and risk assessments (HIRARC).
